Jackson Pharmacy Professionals is currently recruiting for a full-time Clinical Pharmacist. Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a managed care organization (PBM). This position will be interacting with and communicating with clients with 30-35% travel. This role requires an active Pharmacist license in good standing with the board of pharmacy, and strong communication and relationship building skills. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Clinical Pharmacist - PBM Account Manager Summary
Perform functions to support the pharmacy or new and existing benefits programs with the development of industry leading, highly managed clinical strategies, and focus on effective management of all pharmaceuticals including specialty products and development of innovative programs to drive lower average drug spend for clients, making decisions based on conclusions for which there is little precedent.
Clinical Pharmacist - PBM Account Manager Description: 
  • Develop and deploy highly managed clinical strategies
  • The Clinical Pharmacist - PBM Account Manage will include Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee participation, vendor management, and pipeline monitoring.
  • Analyze and evaluate pharmacy data and reporting 
  • Perform or assist with any operations
  • Provide oversight of and implement clinical programs developed by third parties.
  • Analyze clinical program outcomes 
  • Translate and decipher how current pharmacy/healthcare trends will affect new clinical strategies. Prepare monographs and present assigned topics for P&T Committee while proactively making recommendations for clients to stay ahead of the cost curve regarding the drug pipeline.
  • Clinical Pharmacist - PBM Account Manage will collaborate with sales and account management teams in support of clients and prospects
  • Provide drug information and act as clinical consultant/expert on the account team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build consensus among all departments while supporting overall sales initiatives.
  • Meet with clients to discuss clinical trends, review relevant pharmacy data, and provide recommendations and supportive rationale for clinical management strategies.
  • Gather information from various sources to make informed decisions as well as giving attention to detail while prioritizing and meeting deadlines. Analyze, interpret, and develop written recommendations using prescription claims data in order to clearly differentiate the aggressive clinical program management offerings. Use results to improve overall healthcare outcomes and control drug spending.
  • Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Clinical Pharmacist - PBM Account Manager Requirements:
  • PharmD in Pharmacy and licensure as a Pharmacist in the assigned jurisdiction.
  • Strong team building skills, with the ability to influence and lead, teach, train, counsel and coach to accomplish organizational goals.
  • Superior project management skills while ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Prior experience in a PBM setting
